Wave Skater Pro FF - Team Riders

Wave Skater, LLC is extremely excited to announce the launch of our first team of riders-one professional and one amateur-both of whom will be competing on the 2011 BIA Bodyboarding Tour. We intend to add to this small team of riders, as time progresses. If you think you have what it takes to compete on the amateur or pro level, please feel free to contact us directly at: waveskaterpro10@aol.com. Any pictures or videos of you riding our boards or others will certainly help us in our decision making process. In the interim, we wish Justin and Buddy the best of luck as they start their competitions on the BIA Tour, beginning next month out in California!

Name: Justin Crossman
Age: 26
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 170
Hometown: Carlsbad, California
Interests: Surfing, Training, Rock'n'Roll
Travels: Hawaii, Mexico, Indonesia, Australia, South Africa
Place I want to surf: Tahiti

I was lucky to have my parents take me to the beach at a young age and have been in the water as long as I can remember. I have a strong passion for my surfing and traveling as it has been the main focus of my life. I was born and raised in Southern California and I love it here. Recently a college graduate, I will now have more time to focus on getting good waves. The goal is to experience life to the fullest because you only get one! And of course I am happy to have this opportunity to ride for Wave Skater.

BIA Tour News: Buddy Mathews took fifth place overall in the amateur drop-knee division on the same BIA tour. This was Buddy's first tournament and we are very proud of his finishing in the top five riders in his division.

Hey fellow enthusiasts! My name is Buddy Mathews. I was born in San Diego, California and currently live in the city of Carlsbad. I first started bodyboarding when I was about ten years old. About five years ago, I started to teach myself how to ride drop knee, and it’s been an ongoing process ever since. I really enjoy the feeling of riding waves and being out in the ocean. It’s nice to be able to have fun and exercise; that’s one of the beauties of bodyboarding. At 6'2", and 215 lbs., I'm by no means a small framed guy. I like going fast, so the bigger the waves, the better. My favorite breaks would have to include: Horseshoes, Casas, The Wedge, Marine Street, and 1000 steps.

At 24 years old, I’m a part time student, majoring in Oceanography. By profession, I am a Finish Carpenter/Handyman. So when I’m not in school, working, or bodyboarding, I like to play guitar, spearfish, campouts, hang out with friends, and shoot photos/video. I’m also a big Gamer on XBOX; just a few things to keep me busy when there are no swells. I’m really looking forward to riding in the BIA Tour this year and representing Wave Skate Pro bodyboards as an amateur Drop Knee rider. Just want to say thanks to my MOM and DAD and all my friends back in Esco!

What's up everyone my is Nick Parenty. I'm 19, and I'm from Ocean Twp, New Jersey. I've lived about two miles away from the beach almost my whole life so I have been bodyboarding since I could swim. I ride prone and love shooting those big barrels. My favorite time of year to bodyboard is the winter. It's cold but there's usually only a couple people in the lineup so it's worth it. Other than bodyboarding, I do MMA and am a student studying Criminal Justice. Thanks for the opportunity to ride for Wave Skater I can't wait to represent in the 2011 contests.
