Brand new for 2012, we have developed our very first stand-up bodyboard, the Wave Skater 54" Chimaera®.
The new Wave Skater Chimaera® is 54" long, 23.5" wide and 3" thick. It has a Sealed Air® core, an EPE high quality foam deck, and with dual stringers, and a super durable HDPE slick bottom, 50/50 rails, a modified bat-tail, and includes our patented dual pontoon bottom, which gives it extra rigidity and also makes it unique among all stand-up bodyboards. Our patented dual pontoons give all of our bodyboards extra lift, superior maneuverability, and incredible speed on the waves. This board is capable of floating more than a 300 lb. rider, prone, or more than a 200 lb. rider, standing up. It is nearly 3" thick, (maximum thickness) 23.5" wide (at widest point) has an 11" nose and a 17" modified bat-tail. It weighs 7.72 lbs, which is extremely light for such a large board.
It will become available starting in early to mid-May, and will come in a solid blue with a white slick bottom or in solid yellow with a white slick bottom.
There is nothing else out there like our revolutionary designed and patented Pro I, Pro II & Chimaera bodyboards.
Actual Chimaera logos will be different than those currently illustrated. The top logo will be the same as on our Pro I & Pro II boards (circular rider) and the side image will be as in the last picture on the slideshow. Click on image to view all pictures.
